Gli informatici si scoprono elettrosensibili

Interessante lavoro di ricercatori indiani che hanno elaborato un questionario che è stato diffuso presso professionisti della informatica.

Questi per professione e per abito mentale sono dei grandi utilizzatori dei vari device:  in primis smartphone, ma anche forni a microonde ed altri gadget con Bluetooth.

Guarda caso vengono rilevati i disturbi tipici della elettrosensibilità, senza ovviamente nominarla !

A Survey on the Impact of Radiofrequency Electromagnetic Fields (RF-EMF)
from Wireless Devices on Information Technology (IT) Professionals

ABSTRACT
An enormous growth in the telecommunication industry has led to an increase in the usage of a number of wireless
devices. The impact of working in an environment saturated with wireless radiation needs to be exploreed. 
 A questionnaire was prepared based on 18 non-specific health symptoms and medical conditions. It was circulated among professionals (n=200) in the Information Technology (IT) companies and the data was statistically analyzed.
Both male and female IT professionals possessed cell phones (100%), 19.66% used cordless phones and 2.25% of them used the landline telephones. When compared to the males, it was found that 80.4% of the females used wireless computer networks (p>0.01), 27.2% used the microwave ovens (p>0.01) and 47.8% used Bluetooth devices (p>0.001). 

Significant non-specific symptoms (p>0. 001) seen in females were headaches, tremors, depression, blurred vision, irritability, 
difficulty concentrating, chronic pain, pain in teeth and deteriorated fillings, and dryness of lips, tongue, mouth and eyes. 
The males had poor short-term memory, difficulty sleeping and fatigue. Significant medical conditions noted in the females were allergies and asthma at 18.5% (p>0.001) and skin problems at 26.1% (p>0.01), and in the males were eye-related problems at 21.1% (p>0.01). 
Non-thermal effects of wireless radiationneed to be investigated globally in the coming years.

La Corte Suprema Indiana conferma la proibizione di antenne vicino a scuole ed ospedali

Recntemente la Corte Suprema dell'India ha bocciato il ricorso fatto dalle società di telefonia contro la decisione presa da organi giudiziali dello stato di Rajasthan.

Interessante che questo provvedimento è stato preso in contrasto (e bacchettando) il Governo Centrale che risulta 'bloccato' dal 2010 su questo tema !!!





JAIPUR: The Supreme Court has came down heavily on the installation of overhead mobile towers on schools buildings.
Dismissing a special leave petition filed by Cellular Operator Association of India (COAI), the division bench of Justice H L Dattu and Justice Chandramauli Prasad upheld the interim order by Rajasthan high court asking mobile companies to remove towers installed over schools and near hospitals.
"Let the children be safe. Radiation does affect them. Let the towers be removed," observed Justice Dattu.
"India is the only country where schools have overhead mobile towers. This can't be permitted,"said Justice Prasad.
Senior advocate Mukul Rohtagi said the Central government is seized of the matters and therefore, the interim order prejudices the issue. "There is no question of prejudice. We can see the seriousness of the central government with the matter being considered since 2010 and no outcome so far. But we can not allow children to suffer," the court observed.
COAI said if HC was permitted to pass such orders arbitrarily asking cellular companies to remove towers from schools and near hospitals, it will hit connectivity and consumers will be adversely affected.
Rohtagi contended that the towers have also been installed in colonies where the number of residents is much more than a few hundred students in a school and unless a uniform policy of installation is not framed by government the HC order passed last month needed to be stayed.

Il Governo Indiano lancia un programma di ricerca sugli effetti delle antenne

Il Governo ha lanciato un programma di ricerca presso un proprio Ente di ricerca  Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) con l'obiettivo di studiare i possibili effetti delle RF sulla salute umana, alla luce di conclusioni di IARC ma anche di Boinitiative Report, contestate da altri Organismi internazionali

Government has called for research proposals to study the possible impact of electromagnetic frequency radiation on humans and living organisms.

NEW DELHI: Amid concerns over radiation from cell phone towers, government on Friday called for research proposals to study the possible impact of electromagnetic frequency radiation on humans and living organisms.

The call for proposals by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) comes in the wake of conflicting reports on the impact of cell tower radiation with a section claiming that it caused illness including cancer while others saying that there was no definitive finding to support it.

The research and development would study the possible impact of electromagnetic frequency radiation exposure from mobile towers and handsets on humans, living organisms, flora and fauna, and environment.

The study, to be funded in campaign mode, is a joint initiative supported by the SERB, a statutory body under the Department of Science and Technology, and the Department of Telecommunications.

The researchers are expected to study the impact of electromagnetic frequency radiation (EMF-r) in the non-ionising band -- 300 MHz to 3 GHz -- on biota and ecology.

The researchers have been asked to focus on impact of EMF-r on any aspect --physiological, genetic, ecological, growth, development-- at any level including cellular, sub-cellular, molecular, sub-molecular in any model system including humans, plants, animals, birds, fishes and microbes.

Studies on the aspects of epidemiology, social behaviour and safety are also within the ambit of the research.

There have been reports in a section of the media about the purported ill-effects of EMF-r from cell towers and mobile handsets.

Last year, the Department of Telecommunication had lowered the permissible radiation limit for mobile towers to 0.45 watts per sq metre -- which is one-tenth of the ICNIRP guidelines -- for Indian operators.

Also, the government had made it mandatory the display of specific absorption rate (SAR) -- the amount of radio waves absorbed by the body tissue when a phone is in use-- on mobile handsets.

The rules state that cellphones can be imported and sold in India only if the SAR level is below 1.6 watts per kg (W/kg) which is below the European norms of SAR upto 2 W/kg.


Last year the BioInitiative Report 2012 (BIR-2012) on standards for electromagnetic radiation claimed that the evidence for risks to health from wireless technologies and electromagnetic fields (EMFs) has substantially increased since 2007.

The studies alleged a link between cell phone radiation and brain tumours.

However, agencies such as the World Health Organisation, UK Health Protection Agency and the International Commission on Non Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) do not support the conclusions.

Il Governo Indiano decide di ridurrere del 90% i limiti di esposizione di RF

 Il decreto è relativo alle emissioni prodotte dalle stazioni radiobase.

Comunque,
da quello che sono riuscito a capire il limite dovrebbe essere pari a 0,45 W/metroquadrato (x 900 MHz) e 0,9 W/metroquestrato per 1800 MHz.
Sono comunque valori più alti dei limiti presenti in Italia e che si vogliono ammattere ...

Infatti 0,45W/metroquadrato = 13 V/m ca
           0,9                               =  18 V/m ca.
